What do genital warts look like? In most cases, they appear as moist, flesh-colored bumps on the genital area. They can be raised or flat, small or large. In addition, genital warts look like bumps resembling cauliflower in some cases.
Genital warts look like soft, moist, or flesh-colored bumps. They appear in the genital area within weeks or months after infection. The warts spread rapidly over moist areas, so in a lot of cases, they are symmetrical on opposing surfaces of the rectum and labia. Sometimes, genital warts look like clusters of cauliflower-like bumps. They can be raised or flat, small or large.
Genital warts are less common in men. If present, the warts are usually seen on the tip of the penis. They also may be found on the shaft of the penis, on the scrotum, or around the anus.
In rare cases, genital warts can also develop in the mouth or throat if you have oral sex with an infected person.
Genital warts can show up in women on the vulva and cervix, and inside and surrounding the vagina and anus.
