Although there is currently no cure for HPV (the virus that causes genital warts), treatment options are available. While no over-the-counter treatments are available, several prescription medications have shown an 80-percent success rate in removing genital warts. Treatment may also include surgery, cryosurgery, laser surgery, or electrosurgery.
