The typical genital warts appearance is characterized by bumps that can be raised or flat, small or large. Genital warts are soft, moist, or flesh-colored and appear in the genital area within weeks or months after infection. Warts spread rapidly over moist areas, so in a lot of cases, they are symmetrical on opposing surfaces of the rectum and labia. Sometimes, genital warts appear like clusters of cauliflower-like bumps
Genital warts are less common in men. If present, they usually appear on the tip of the penis. They may also be found on the shaft of the penis, on the scrotum, or around the anus.
In rare cases, genital warts can also develop in your mouth or throat if you have oral sex with an infected person.
Genital warts can show up in women on the vulva and cervix, and inside and surrounding the vagina and anus.
